PETE MURRAY
It's all there in the voice, rich and inviting, but even Pete Murray was surprised how many people it connected with when his 2003 debut album Feeler went to No 1 and sales topped 450,000, six-times platinum. Second album See The Sun delivered on all the promise of Feeler and more. An album and artist perfectly suited for sunshine and summer, Murray, now a national entity, has made the jump from playing tiny clubs to arenas and festivals with ease.
END OF FASHION
Infectious, timeless, get-go fabulous rock is what Perth’s ‘End Of Fashion’ deliver. Heralded by the powered pulse of lead single O Yeah – originally written whilst frontman Justin Burford was playing with fellow Perth outfit The Sleepy Jackson alongside End of Fashion guitarist Rod Aravena - their 2006 self-titled debut album saw them assume their position as one of Australia’s premier outfits.

SICK PUPPIES
You can’t argue with Oprah, Jay Leno, Good Morning America or Sixty Minutes. These are just some of the household-name media who have requested an audience with Sydney indie-outfit Sick Puppies about their “Free Hugs Campaign featuring All The Same”. Now a world wide phenomenon; all this for a band originally “Unearthed” by Triple J in 2000 who decided to relocate to Los Angeles in mid-2005 to see if they could “crack” the US market.
WOLF AND CUB
Sep 06 saw Adelaide four piece Wolf & Cub release their debut album Vessels to international acclaim, leading NME amongst others to proclaim; “Wolf & Cub meld every great moment in music ever into the hottest new thing on the planet”. They have trodden the boards with TV On The Radio, The Killers, The Music, Wolfmother, Queens of the Stone Age, Hot Hot Heat, Futureheads, Death From Above 1979 and played Big Day Out, Meredith and Homebake.
VAN SHE
Equal parts new wave, electro pop, garage rock and ecstatic now pop, since signing with Modular Recordings in June 2005 Van She have; released an EP, remixed the likes of The Presets, Klaxons and New Young Pony Club, played around 100 shows with the likes of The Presets, Cut Copy, End Of Fashion, Wolfmother, Annie, The Avalanches, Gerling, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Faker, Digitalism and Grandmaster Flash and are as equally at home on indie rock festival stages as in warehouse raves.
RED RIDERS
Having clocked up many headliners and enviable support shows (Franz Ferdinand, The Fiery Furnaces, Death From Above 1979, The Grates, The Living End, Faker), Sydney’s Red Riders are renowned for their onstage party antics. Two EPs (self-titled, The Plan A) and a hit single (‘Call On Me’) down the track, and we arrive at Red Riders’ engrossing debut album Replica Replica and their current position as one of Australia’s premier live acts.
BODYJAR
Bodyjar exploded upon Australian consciousness with the full throttle, new skool punk rock of 1994’s ‘Take A Look Inside’. Fast forward five albums and ten odd years and Bodyjar are a national institution; cemented in our national psyche as a band fixed on delivering the raw energy and impassioned statement that they are now renowned for.
NATIONAL PORNOGRAPHIC
High profile Sydney based Australian post-modern, beats, rock and hiphop act National Pornographic are a force merging killer rock riffs with loaded grooves. Not bound by genres, they fuse electronic music sensibilities into a Molotov cocktail of punk, funk, and scratch, pioneering a style of their very own.
AVALON DRIVE
Bringing excitement and buzz, in under two years together Brisbane's Avalon Drive have cemented their path forward. An impressive fan base and a string of great gigs has seen their strength realised with prime positions at festivals such as Fallout and Rapid as well as invitations to play support various international and national acts including Anberlin (USA) and Crowned King (Canada).
BOURBON STREET
Throughout the late 80's and early 90's, Northern Rivers outfit Bourbon Street were regarded by the Australian music industry as one of the hottest acts in the country. After three successful albums, two hit-singles and extensive tours of Australia and the east coast of America, the boys called it quits in 1993. Now, eleven years on the boys are back in the saddle and it's time for another shot of Bourbon.
OPERATOR PLEASE
With industry stalwarts Dappled Cities Fly & The Red Sun Band, Gold Coast buzz band 'Operator Please' are set to hit the road next week on their first ever national tour. Formed by five like minded students from Elanora High School, earlier this year they posted a few tracks on MySpace and the international music industry hotline lit up. The youngsters were flown to New York to showcase by a conglomerate of labels and ended up doing a UK deal with uber-cool indy Brille.

Their debut EP 'Cement Cement' was recorded with fellow Queenslander Magoo and the first single 'Get What You Want' is receiving Triple J and various community stations now.
TENTATIVE
A fusion of melodic hard rock and riff-laden metal with influences from progressive to contemporary alternative rock Tentative formed in early 2005 to bring an element of substance back to their beloved rock music. Based out of Lismore, founding members Todd Robinson (Lead Guitar), Chris Helliwell (Lead Guitar), Will Brook (Bass) and Angus Fitz-Bugden (Vocals) recently entered Top Cat studios in Alstonville to record their debut EP- Just Quietly. Mastered at 301 studios in Sydney by Don Bartley, ‘Just Quietly’ showcases the bands slick and forceful riffing, soaring guitar harmonies and tight dexterous rhythm section precision.
GUST OF GRAVITY
Gust Of Gravity are a 4 piece progressive rock band from the Far North Coast of NSW. Together since mid 2005, with a dedication to putting on an energetic show with variety and an element of intrigue, an extensive array of live shows have seen them hone their attention to complex rhythmic patterns, dynamics and the ability to conjure a memorable melody. Gust of Gravity riffs and motifs come from a combination of pre-composed work and extended jamming - this fusion of styles and colours is a combination the band is determined to continue to write and expand upon into the future.
